Default Where does your dog sleep?
Where does your dog sleep?.

Sunny ust to sleep outside (years ago now), He sleeps inside on my bed and he seems to love it. He loves cuddling under the blankets through winter, through summer he prefers being on top of the blankets. Now I am in the shed, he sometimes, very rarely will sleep on the couch I have. He still spends most of his time on the bed.

Serenity also sleeps on the bed, sometimes above and below, sometimes she likes to be against me or curled up on the pillow beside me. Sometimes she likes sleeping on one of the two couches, it's not uncommon to find her asleep on a couch in the morning. When I was in my old room though she very very rarely slept in the bed, she would always be under the bed or under the table, I don't know why..

I like them choosing where they sleep. I couldn't leave them outside, I know they get cold and I know Sunny prefers being inside cause he'll scratch jump at the door if I lock him out. Serenity will behave, I don't think she'd be bothered being outside but I also think she is perfectly happy inside in a warm bed. I will always have dogs sleeping inside, on the bed though it's annoying sometimes, lol. So, I just hope my future bf can accept that cause I'll always have a dog in the bed.

I just hope that I never have dogs that will fight in the bed. Guage and Sunny would fight over the space for a bed so they could never share a bed together with me.

Mine sleep in their crates in the basement. I used to let the small guy (apbtx) sleep in bed, but it just became a hassle. Now we have the cats in bed and the dogs are locked up and all is well in the world.

Thats sounds fair . Can I ask, how did it become a hassle?.

I also want to state, I have no problem with dogs not sleeping in the bed, just curious to were people's dogs sleep.

On the floor. He finds the coziest spot in the house and lies down there.

My shepherd slept on her Kuranda bed, but liked to wake me up at about 3am & 5am every day to eat and potty. In the crate she rests quietly until I go and get her. Jack the APBTx likes to chase the cats. If we closed the door and he heard them in the hallway, he would be up and pacing (we have hardwood floors) around the bed and to the door at any hour of the night.

In her crate, I wouldn't mind her on my bed but I'm allergic to her fur. I've started taking allergy medicine now, but I still don't want her full all over my sheets.

Thanks for Answering my question Schwe.

Luck, the fur, I hate!... Made me want to kick then off the bed quite a few times. Also, they leave dust particles on my bed and I have to sweep it off every time I go to bed, it's so annoying.

Socrates use to sleep in the bed, I think because he liked how warm it was. He would get all the way under the covers and cuddle up to us. But then my mom bought him a dog sleeping bag which I made fun of until I realized how much he loved it lol. Now he sleeps on his own bed in his sleeping bag.

Harley is a huge bed hog so while we only have a queen bed he rarely gets to sleep with us since we never sleep good as we are both falling off the bed because of him lol (we plan to one day get a Cal king so he can sleep with us..one day) he finally out grew his SA so he had a pile of blankets on his crate in our room which I now where he sleeps. He hates the fan which we leave on during warm months an last summer he slept under our bed but now he's happy in his crate since we have a piece of wood on top like a table to block the fan. Sometimes, if he's hot he will start out spread out on the floor but he always moves to his crate by morning. No matter what he's in ur room with us. We don't trust him to roam the house lol

The whole time we had Bonnie until Abbey came just a few days ago (or just over a week ago I guess), she slept in a crate. Now we have Abbey, and she doesn't have a crate, nor do we intend to get her one (if we need them separated, one is out and one is in, or they're both out in a kennel/chain spot respectively, or tied up inside in opposite rooms). Abbey sleeps in a dog bed in my parents room so I decided to let Bonnie sleep on the floor (no bed, she eats them) in my room. I'm hoping to get her one of those raised PVC beds... I forget what they're called.

No dogs in the bed in my house. I have a cat who sleeps on the bed sometimes but he has his own cat bed on the bed so his hair is mostly restricted to that area. Bonnie slept in my bed ONCE, when she was four months old, and it was because she was too sick/weak to sleep outside and we hadn't got her crate we ordered in the mail yet.

Depending on his mood Gus will either sleep on a dog bed at the foot of my bed or in a dog bed next to my son's bed. Occasionally when the door is left open, he'll make his way into my son's closet and sleep on the dirty laundry pile.

It depends really! 90% of the time, they all sleep in their crates, but every once in awhile we rotate them out in bed. I don't do it often as I got tired of sleeping on the floor... but sometimes either the hubby or I miss them sleeping with us, so the other will sleep on the couch so one can sleep with us. We have crates through out the house.. (2 in the pc room, 1 in my daughters room and 2 in the laundry room). One is for the cats (has everything set up in it for them - so if we let the dogs loose in the house together, we can crate the cats for safety reasons.. all of my dogs do ok with the cats, but unless I am right there - I do not risk it with more than one dog loose at a time).

Gypsy can be a freaking bed hog. Instead of laying on the four feet of bed left to the side of me, she has to lay crosswise in the middle of the bed, and she is sooo pushy sometimes, lol. Some nights when its cold, we will have a pushing tug of war...there has been a few times she has been kicked off the bed, but only for so long as it takes me to get comfortable.

When I fall asleep on the couch, I will make her stay down, right...and I will wake up a couple hours later and she will be on top of me. I don't know HOW I sleep through her doing that, but I do, every time. She's crafty.

My dogs usually sleep on the floor in my bedroom. They have one oversized pillow that they'll either share (both of them taking a half) or that they'll switch off with (one will sleep on the area rug and the other on the pillow, and they may swap a few times a night). Sometimes, my younger girl will go out to the entryway near the front door if she gets hot because the floor there is tiled and is always a lot cooler.

Lucy usually sleeps in my bed, unless it's really hot out then she'll sleep on the couch in the living room.

Mr. D sleeps on my bedroom floor (occasionally he sleeps at the foot of my bed, but he always ends up moving to the floor), or he sleeps in his crate in the living room.

Ethel gets free run of the house, and usually sleeps on the couch, or the mattress in the spare bedroom.
