I was at my friends house today hangin with in the yard on a cool South Carolina friday when this guy walks up in the yard asking me about my dog. He asks me how old is the dog, what bloodlines he is, and where I got him from. The lady I bought him from gave me an a sweet deal on the Trooper because she and my girlfriend were sorrority sisters. I had the option of having him registered, or 'with papers' as some of you would say. I tell him no, because I never planned on breeding or showing. He's mine and papers dont matter to me. He tells me my dog isnt worth a crap because he wasnt registered.
Even though his parents are some type of registered dogs, from a breeder, I didnt care about those I just wanted my puppy. I felt like he disrespected me and my dog. And the jerk doesnt even own one. I hate people to put in thier $0.02 about things they dont know about. I wanted to punch him in the nuts. But looking into the eyes of my bad little crazy little nutty little puppy made me let it go.

If you never plan on breeding OR showing than the papers wouldnt matter, as you said...you just wanted your puppy. But it is a nice little certificate to wave around and show off.

IMO Papers (registration) is only important if you plan on showing because most registry require proof of lineage.

When I got Samson I was going to show him so I got him AADR registered, now that he is neutered though they are kinda pointless LOL But I do wanna show him in some fun classes and get his LPP through ADBA and AKC so he can be shown in fun classes......

I think (don't quote me on this) but with the AKC it's illegal (or against policies) to charge more for registration because if the puppy is from two registered parents registration should come with them.
Now many people do have differing prices for full registration as opposed to limited but the dog is still registered you are just paying for breeding rights.
I know your dog isn't AKC but might wanna check with the registry he woulda be registered through and see what their policy is.

I didnt know what i know now man give me some slack. Trust me, I have already said something to her about her for profit breeding program. she got two registered dogs and are making pups for profit. I dont support that. I also didnt wanna go get a rescue simply for that fact that the guy at the animal shelter was a racist dick. I dont care what anyone says. I know my dog is true. Papers never mattered. and i dont have to prove anything to anyone. i dont feel like i was screwed. i feel like everyone else was duped for payin what they paid for dogs. hell, ive seen breeders stud thier dogs out for what she was sellin pups for. i gave her less than what most pay for a full tank of gasoline. ....
