Why not just feed him a raw diet?

Nuts and occasional raw meat??

Never heard of that, I think he needs some good quality kibble with no grains, and more exercise.

LOL this makes a lot more sense now. I was reading this thinking "what? This person just toss some almonds on the floor for the dog?"

Thanks for clarifying what you mean by nuts lol

I wonder what type of scraps are being included into his diet. I personally would look into feeding raw thoroughly. It's not an expensive diet if you take the time to do some research and look around for the lowest prices. It's even a little less as opposed to the large bag of kibble I use to purchase while I fed kibble.

I figured you were from around there with the stone measurement. But I had not heard of the term "nuts" for dog kibble. lol

I will add that one to my mental thesaurus

I will definitely look into the fully raw dies, I imagine it would be a lot healthier for the little chubber The kibble is quite expensive and he eats all the scraps at dinner time so it could be anything from steak to salad..

for his activity level?

I know when people see how much I give Bear they think I starve him lol but he is lazy and if I gave him the amount on the bag he would be fat I think

Ok it makes more sense now. I asked about dog food and you said he didn't get dog food so I thought you were literally giving him nuts as in peanuts and those types of nuts. Which brand of kibble do you feed? And I would cut out all table scraps.

Ripley is 21" and 70lbs
She always looks chunky to me, but you can feel her ribs with no fat covering. She just has a big chest and big booty, short body length. I honestly didn't think she weighed that much until I took all the dog for a weigh in! But her parents were also registered AKC Amstaffs.

Baby and Ripley look the same size, but Baby weighs 50lbs and has some fat on her, Ripley is muscle!

Mine is 22 and 57.7 pounds. And he's definitely not heavy for his size but he has a mix of something in him

Pictures can be deceiving, but he seems a little on the heavy side.
