goatbulls! My dogs loooove wood! Always carrying around branches, chewing them into big messes, eating them! Mine have never been hurt but watch for splinters in their mouths and their stools just in case. Some mulch is poisonous to dogs, check the bags!

Cute picture! No, it shouldn't hurt them. Just keep an eye on them with it though.

If they swallow big and or enough pieces to where it gets stuck any where along the digestive tract, punctures or ruptures it.. then yes, you have a big problem.

Keep an eye on them. If you notice them trying to swallow pieces, remove them from the area. They could choke or sustain injuries from sharper pieces they chew off. Most dogs I've encountered simply chew them apart.

My dog loves to chew sticks, pinecones, leaves, etc. It's rather annoying, being as that he usually ends up vomiting up a giant nasty wad of stick mess. blah. Stains my carpet! LOL. He is always curteous though and does not vomit in bed, thankfully.
