Default "My dogs are probably pissed..."
My fiancé was telling me about a guy he works with who owns three pit bulls. The dogs are in "kennels" out in the backyard (basic chainlink on dirt.) A few weeks ago, we had some pretty heavy rain for 3-4 days straight. On the fourth day, my fiancé's co-worker says, "yeah, my dogs are probably pissed at me right about now." My fiancé asked why, and the co-worker says, "well I ain't been out to feed 'em or nothin' in three days 'cause it's muddy out there, and it's been raining."

What? Who doesn't feed their dogs for three days because it's raining outside?

Then this guy has been trying to sell puppies at work (fiancé put a stop to that.) The guy said, "I gave my grand-baby one of the pups for Christmas." (As of yesterday, the puppies were 7 weeks old.) My fiancé asked about his dogs, and the guy said, "well my neighbor has this female I gave to him about a year ago, and when she come back in heat, I had him bring her over and put her in a pen with my male."

Lo and behold, yesterday, my fiancé comes home and says, "so...so-and-so at work asked me if I knew anyone that wanted some pit bull puppies because his neighbor is giving them away, and 'if he doesn't get rid of them, he's gonna take them to Animal Control.'"

(Same ole same ole in this area.)
