i was reading through a post about Ambullies, have they been watered down like the ukc amstaffs? who would win in a match Ambully or APBT? im curious just been researching bloodlines. APBTs are bred to fight, Bullies are bred to be big and blue, show me a truly game AmBully and ill kiss your ass. |

Lost it?..that would imply they had it to begin with. Ambullys were bred to go away from the APBT and even the amstaff, they were never game, nor do they want to be game. |

As far as I know, no one has ever tested an Ambully. So, one can not claim that they ever had game to lose, or that they are game. Just as most people can't claim their APBT is game. Only one way to know for sure, and in the US, that way is illegal.
Now can they all have drive and tenacity? Yes. So, for me, the question is unanswerable, though, the answer is most likely that an Ambully would not be game (as that wasn't what it was bred for or anything like that). However, who would win, doesn't determine who is game anyway. |

Yeah, there are probably some idiots in some back alley throwing their two American Bullies together to fight, but I am talking about an actual game testing situation, not just idiots who have no clue what they are doing. If an actual game testing situation has been done on the American Bully, I doubt it, but you never know.

There are american bullies and american bullies. In a chance encounter with a more atheletic ambully and a 30lb sporting pit, they might kill the smaller dog. People seem to think just because it is apbt it is somehow invinceable. They were never bred to defeat all comers. They were bred to combat at a similar weight and under strict rules. Just as a boxer would probably get trashed in a street fight, take away the structure and regulation and there are a lot of large dogs which could really hurt them.

When did they ever have gameness? bullies arent tested! Doesnt mean bullies arent fit to 'work' there just shit in the box, theres some fit lean bullies doing great in weight pull and agility ect.
---------- Post added at 03:30 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:29 PM ---------- they never had gameness to begin with so why is this discussion even on here? lol |

That's what I was thinking Skippy. That's why I mentioned that whomever won doesn't mean one is game.
If one pit a 120lbs. XL American Bully against a 40lb. APBT, there is a chance the Ambully would win, but it would have nothing to do with gameness. Now if the 40lb. APBT kept fighting no matter how horribly the 120lbs. Ambully kept hurting him, then the APBT that lost would still be the game one, where the winning Ambully hasn't proven any gameness really. Though, I'd hope anyone who truly wanted to test a dogs gameness wouldn't do a match like that, as it would be stupid. |

theres a video somewhere between like a 40 pound game dog and a 60+ pound AmBully and i honestly dont think the game dog ever got a tooth in him, he left that little match looking like he left a conformation show. |

You have absolutely no comprehension as to what the term "game" actually means.
