A bit of a mild rant here:
the adjacent, small apartment complex foreclosed a few months ago and has since been sold. The new owners are doing much needed remodeling and repair work. Unbeknownst to me me, they started bringing their 2 dogs along, to romp in the fenced backyard. Yesterday, I let Trusty into our backyard, and he went apesh!t at the privacy fence, along the lines when he 'discovered' a litter of newborn kittens at the same fence, a couple of weeks ago (kittens and Moma have since been trapped by yours truly). We are talking the whole screaming, screeching routine. And trying to get through the fence (which is - somehwat reinforced) ![]() Once he is this drivey, it's difficult to get him back to earth - it took every bit of control I have and several penny-filled Coke can tosses to get him away and in the house. Sooo, long story short - the dogs got an early morning potty break, and Trusty will be inside, until the new building owners are gone for the day - some time this evening, sigh. Wish me luck, LOL. |

I feel your pain. I just got new neighbors on the problem fence side (the problem fence is what brought me to this forum in the first place) and they have a young, intact, blue brindle male bully.
He's been at the fence the last couple days, barking a bit, but otherwise friendly towards me. But Debo's now noticed him, from the backyard & inside the house. So I'll have to be very careful now when I need to bring Debo through that area (it's next to my front door & out to the driveway, so any time I come or go from the house). |

my neighbors just replaced the fence...
well actually, they took out the trees and the chicken wire and put an actual fence, which I found great as it's a privacy fence... yeah it was great until they had their family's little yorkshire X something and it could actually fit trough the holes where the chicken wire was missing... that thing, I do not kid you, was as small as a 3 month old kitten! ![]() I literally grabbed my dog by it's tail right before he spotted it and at the moment I got to his collar he nearly took my arm with him trying to bolt after that furry fast moving miniature rabbit... man I was PISSED lol |

Glad I am not alone in this ...
Grabbing the tail scares me, I am afraid I could dislocate it ... yikes. So, until thus situation is better managed, Trusty will see the backyard only with heavy, Ella's Lead rope leash attached to his glorious self. Penny-filled Coke cans are postioned strategically, LOL. |
