How do i get my dog Registered? I have an APBT, is this the only organization I can register him with?

if the mother and father you got your dog from doesnt have papers then there is no way you can register your dog.

why do you want to register your dog?

Are his Sire and Dam registered with the UKC or any registry? If not, then you won't be able to. You won't be able to register with the UKC at all unless the Sire and Dam are UKC registered.

If the Sire and Dam have ADBA papers, you can register him with the ABDA, AADR, or APBA.

I thought I had to. I want to get him into Weight Pulling. The puppy's dad is registered, but I am not sure about the mom... What happens if I can not register him?

If you get him neutered, most places have weight pull without needing papers.

The APA, IWPA, AADR and APBA has an all breed weight pull. I believe the ADBA might now to, but not sure.

Hey, sorry we didn't get a chance to talk, but I'm glad you and your son had fun at the pull. We have an APA pull at the same location on Sept 18th. We've also got a UKC all breed show and pull in Enfield Sept 11 and 12th.
As others have mentioned, if your dog isn't registered, w/UKC, you can get a limited privilege registration so you can compete in working events, but the dog must be spayed/neutered. APA is not a registry, so any dog can pull.
