Don't beat yourself up about it Muttkip, I too still cry uncontrollably for the sudden loss of my Mountain Cur Delilah. She passed away very suddenly too from an undiagnosable illness. I wasn't ready to let go of her, she got me through middle school, high school, pregnancy and moving to a completely different state.

I keep her choke chain that has her ID tags and Rabies tag on my rearview mirror...she used to love to go for car rides. I refuse to get rid of her collars and leashes and her costume.lol When I see a dog that resembles her in the least bit I get teary eyed and I can't talk about her for more than 5 mins without choking up. I'd give my right arm and all the dogs I have now just to have her back.
PS I used to live pretty close to where you are. I lived in Loganville for few years.
