Abby is scheduled to go for Spay the first of April She is a re homed dog and wanted to get her weight up and make sure she was healthy before this was done. Well she in coming into heat and what a pain in the rump she is. Abby is very friendly and wants attention normally but now she is like crazy needing attention and so whinny she is way worse than any other female in heat I have been around she reminds me of a freaking cat in heat with all the whining and rubbing on me. no worries on her being bred she is inside the house and the backyard has a 6 foot block wall fence and Marlo is fixed if she goes outside I will be with her also. and only one of my neighbors that shares a common wall has a dog and its a little sausage looking dog that is female. Just another reason to Spay her she is going to drive me insane

My girlfriends dog is that way too, and has to be kenneled or tied up to something with a blanket under her because of the blood, but she is acting that way now my girl friend is getting her spayed wed. while she is in heat (its an extra $20 because she will bleed more) but its her dogs 2nd heat and she has brand new white carpet)

Wow, that is strange! I've only had one dog come in heat, and that was Zoey. I didn't have any problems with her, just kept her crated the whole time except to go potty. All of my males are neutered, but there's a little JRT down the road that isn't, and I didn't want him digging under the fence to get to her before her spay. I had her spayed the month following her first heat, no problems at all.
