Out walking J, who was surprisingly good... and these two women were standing outside of a store I have to pass with young bulldog, 7-8 months. soon as they saw me they started getting her excited. "Go get him! Get that dog! Bite'em!!" To which I stopped across the road and put J in a sit, told them how cute their little dog was and then let them go by. They encouraged her to "Get" everyone and everything that passed by.

My neighbors up the road from me own a Yorkshire Terrier that they walk on a retractable leash (don't get me started on THOSE!) Everytime we walk by with Grimm and Gidget, the female owner does the same thing, "get 'em!" She lets her Yorkie charge towards our dogs just until the pop of the end of the retractable leash causes the Yorkie to be thrown back. She thinks it's funny. My dogs and I do not.

I would be pissed Marlo is bad enough with dogs that he sees much less one coming at him he would go nuts. My little white furball is a work in progress.

Had I not had J, I very well might have tried explaining a few things, but as it was, I don't think that the woman would have a problem letting her dog go, and puppy or not, that is the last thing I want J to go through.

The dog isn't HERS as far as I know, she lives at the owners house - who breeds "Pure Red Noses" and has them for sale often - and simply takes the dogs out to stand on corners, let the dogs lunge and act nuts, and try to look tough. I mean, it's pitiful these grown women, one in her 50's, feel the need to do this.

It's a beautiful pup... I do hope I find her roaming. I've seen the main owner/breeder kick his stud male down the steps for coming to him. He called it, it came, he kicked it over. And the poor dog didn't even snarl, it looked apologetic, got up and came back to him.
