I am new to this on line stuff. I do not have a facebook, twitter etc. But what I do have is a love of animals and a bit of time and land. My husband and I currently have 2 pit mix dogs (with lab) one of which was a pound puppy. We love them both dearly and they are family members. I have been a social worker for the past ten years and am currently in nursing school and work at a nursing home. My husband has been in and out of the military for the past 15 years. 5 of which involved training dolphins-so he is really good at training animals. he provides the training and I spoil them. Much to his dismay. Anyhow..... I came across this website and feel that we might make good foster dog parents. We are currently in a rental house, as we are not sure where we will end up (military), but we have a good bit of land, have added a doggie door and erected a fence for our dogs. I seem to acquire all of the neighborhood strays, but again think we would be a great place for placement for other bully dogs in the event that they need! Not sure where to go from here. This web site is a bit overwhelming. I see the dogs on craigs list and think we could keep them until they have homes............. Let me know.

Where abouts do you live? There is a rescue section which lists various rescue groups by area. Would be a great place to start.

Welcome to the site. You have found a great place for information. I have been here about a year and am still overwhelmed by the site.... Good luck and thank you for helping the breed! Or at least attempting too Do the people you rent from care about the situation?
