in my police opps class when my teacher mentioned them I told them what they really were like, said yea you should be cautious around any breed not just them and told them some history. He admitted even before speaking about them he does not know about them so he was a avid listener. I also have been stopped by children and I told them about the breed and let them pet Goren, starting young insures the future and brings up better dog owners in general. I have taken him to a festival and just gotten him out in public told people his breed when they asked and answered questions they have had. Posted on facebook things such as "pitbull blues" and even sent things to my mom when she was not to informed about the breed.

Responsible representation of the breed, socializing, training, exposure, and of course, being the constant topic of any conversation I have, with anyone.... Mollie and Bella both visit my mom and the other patients at the Nursing Home, and Bella will be taking her CGC test soon. My dogs never run loose, are always leashed when outside the fence, UTD on shots, and Bella is micro chipped. Both Mollie and Bella are favorites at the vets office.... Bella more so because I think I've made a few of my vets house payments with visits with her alone.

education, socialization and teaching good manners. Deuce is always up to date on preventive care and is microchipped and is ALWAYS on leash outside. No parks- we prefer arranged and supervised playdates
![]() For my part, i rely on education and facts. I don't bother to argue with people because they won't listen. I offer them information or share my stories and if it's done so in a positive manner, then sometimes they listen. I have to pretty much be the ambassador just as much as Deuce does because one rude pittie owner can do just as much damage as one ill-mannered dog. The Pit Krewe does what we can to provide education in a positive manner to Baton Rouge residents and surrounding areas. We work with area shelters and rescues and pretty much help whoever we can who helps our favorite breed ![]() |

Lily's only 5 months, but I'm hoping to get her CGC and ATTS in the coming years (also because I'm a college student and renting is a necessity). After that, I'm PRAYING that I can get her into therapy work. I've always wanted to do it. She is sweeter than any dog I've ever known, I think she would be great as an elementary school educator, to get kids to see YOUNG what these dogs really are. We've got a lot of work ahead of us, but I'm almost a hundred percent sure, even if we can't get into therapy, that she will change the way people think of pit bulls.

All 3 of mine have their CGCs, all three have passed the Therapy Dog International testing. They are out competing in agility, rally, and obedience. They are stoic around other dogs and friendly towards people. I am a responsible owner. They are never off lead. They have changed the minds of many people by just being nice dogs.
