red nose mix?
does my pit look like a red nose mix suppose to be red nose and american pit mix. looks really small compared to my razors edge male pit. she is 8 monthshttp://www.pitbull-chat.com/attachme...308467&thumb=1

Just a note, red nose is just the color of their nose, not a "breed line". http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/wink.png She definitely looks like an American Pit Bull Terrier mix, and quite honestly, in the picture, she looks like her nose is black, not red. But it could be the lighting of the picture. You Razor's Edge is going to be quite a bit "thicker" than an APBT mix, because it's an AmBully, not an American Pit Bull Terrier. APBT's are a medium size dog, average about 45-60 lbs, and are very lean, Razor's Edge are thicker, and shorter. Be sure to ask Purple for access to the AmBully section. http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/wink.png
Oh, and welcome to Pitbull-chat. Nice to see another Tennessean. http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/smile.png |
No red nose, black nose, blue nose, american pits. There are American Pit Bull Terriers, American Stafforshire Terriers, and American Bullies. Your RE dog is most likely and American Bully, which can run quite a bit bigger than your average APBT.
All that aside, there is virtually no way to pin down what breeds are in your other dog, or if there's any "pit bull" at all. |
can not tell what the mix is, but your dog is not a red nose...
red nose is exactly that.. a red nose.. not a breed... welcome and have fun here... |
ok so is there anyway u could tell what bloodlines she is or do u have to have papers on her i am just going on what the owner of the pup told me but sounds like he dont really know to much. thanks for the advicehttp://www.pitbull-chat.com/attachme...311377&thumb=1 best pics i got while at work.

there is no way i know of...
but it seems like you have a good pet quality animal there... just enjoy |
its nose looks black to me
|
Nope, without getting a dog from a reputable breeder, there is no way for sure to say what bloodline she is or if she is even fullbred.
|
oh well im new to all this and yes her nose is black
|
yea theirs no way to tell bloodlines by looking at the dog but you dog looks like it might be mixed with a different breed..and you RE "pit"is bigger beacuse hes most likely an ambully
|
She looks like a shepherd/apbt mix. Just enjoy her. She's gorgeous! http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/aww.gif

I would be surprised if it is any boodlines. I looks like a bit of a backyard special to me. Probably scatterbred with so many mongrels. All that matters is you get out and enjoy your time with your dog and don't get hung up on lines and so forth.
|
not a mix of many mongrels the mother is a full blooded red nose and the male may have been pit mix anyways thanks

Did you see the papers for the Mother? Is she full blood American Pit Bull Terrier with a red nose? Was her nose red, or did the breeder just tell you she was a red nose?
|
Everyone JUST got done sayin' how 'rednose' isn't a "line" or "type" of APBT and is JUST a nose colour... and you come out with "full blooded red nose"... sheesh.
Unless the dam HAS a red nose... she isn't a "red nose" dog. Easy enough. Cute pup http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/smile.png |
That dog looks like a pit/shepard mix to me. Not a purebred by any stretch. I'm sorry but whoever told you she was a "mix" of red nose and american pit doesn't know squat. There aren't different "breeds" of American Pit Bull Terrier, nose color is simply that and is meaningless, you can't have a "full or half" blood red nose, either the nose is red or not and a red nose dog is no different than a blue nose. This breed comes in many colors. A chocolate lab is not a different breed than a yellow lab. "american pit" doesn't mean anything either. Razors edge are generally byb ambully dogs, they aren't APBT at all and usually are larger.
