$1,700 taken from SPCA company in Philadelphia|6abc.com PHILADELPHIA - December 13, 2010 (WPVI) -- Police are searching for the bandit who took $1,700 in the Pennsylvania SPCA company in Philadelphia. Detectives say it just happened around 4:00 a.m. In the office within the 100 block of West Hunting Park Avenue. With all of the team on a single female staffer inside and an emergency phone, authorities say, the bandit turned up claiming he'd a tired dog. When the guy got inside, the staffer worker shows authorities, he used a knife to her throat and demanded money. The only real profit the middle is held in a floor safe keeping about $1,700. The thief could raise the secure and, on his way to avoid it, took the keys to 1 of-the PSPCA's red dog control vehicles. Authorities want to determine why a thief might target this service in-the morning hours, looking to find money. They're examining the probability of an internal job.
