Does that blue brindle have a seal mother and blue brindle sire? That is the mix im looking for seal/blue brindle mating. wondering what those two would produce. Not sure if seal is of amstaff lineage. Trying to find out. Yet I knw seal is an off black could this be because of (dilute black, only found first in Amstaff, hence blue pits), or black not fully covering hair strand. I kinda think coat was formed by blue amstaff and red apbt. Not saying it is direct amstaff trait, jus wondering if seal coats posses amstaff genes to produce seal color im not sure. Or is coat color orignally found in only apbt?

Not really sure what it would produce, but I must ask, is that the main reason the breeding would be done? If so, I highly suggest the breeding doesn't take place. ---------- Post added at 03:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:49 PM ---------- By the way all of these questions can easily be answered with an understanding of genetics, dominant and recessive genes and a handy little tool called the punnet square. |

Yea so you can stipen your dogs lineage and fix them, you know decrease pitbulls genetic pool till the point they are basically inbreeding, and increase thier chance for genetic disorders already prevalent. I wont let my dog suffer like innocent pits who die and get fixed due to others ignorance, I rather keep my dogs genes living while you help yours die out. Survival of the Fitess. Already have responsible owners. Respect your concerns, but if your not replying to the posts? Dont reply, most people here already knw pitbull dos and donts concerning breedind. Im talkin genetics not jus phenotypes and not rather to breed by color coat!

For all of your info. It was a ? Towards orgin of seal color coat and thier offspring. Not towards rather to breed by color, cause I'm not. Mate was chosen by temperment, owner, health, and bloodlines. Rather have a pup from the type of pit traits I like (my dog and mates)color was irrelevant. Other pups already have respectful owners. So please save it. Relavent info is much appreciated.

I hope you do have homes lined up... but what if they fall through, or the prospective takers, back out? Are you willing to take back, and keep, all the ones that don't work out?
And this is my opinion, but please, ... never breed just for "color". ![]() |

Mate was chosen by temperment, owner, health, and bloodlines. Sorry, but fixing your pet doesn't "decrease the pit bull gene pool". You know what it DOES decrease though? Unwanted dogs in shelters who end up being killed. |

@releasethehounds. Punnet Square wont work. They dont knw how the loci on the chromsome interact in seal coat. If was dominant dog trait coat, would be one color not black and red(seal). Think its incomplete dominance, (black grey base with red tips on hair). Scientists dont knw the answer dont knw why I was hopin some1 on her was. Lol some of u are truly funny. Byb lmao

We only can go on your posts, and so far your introduction, you mentioned the color of your dog, your photo album you mentioned the color of your dog, and now this thread...So, you do seem to be a bit "obsessed" with the color of your dog. I don't think I saw his name anywhere.
Now you are claiming that isn't the main reason for the breeding, that is good, we can only go by the information you hand us. |
