my honey birds <3

so weve had a small humming bird nest hanging from our patio twinkle lights for 3 years now. its empty most of the year. but we get a momma that uses it every spring (not sure if its the same bird?) and i happened to see her sitting in it this past month.

http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/...el1316/038.jpg

i took a peek inside and a single little egg was there. i let her go about her business. next week i looked and this is what i found

i lud my little man so much! (yea i call him little man and no idk if its a male or female lol)

so ive been following him every couple days and boy do these things grow quick!

hes almost ready to leave the nest. perching on the side. flapping his wings. readying himself to go http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/frown.gif

Great shots!

Unfortunately, I think the bokeh on the fence in shot number one takes away from the focus of the photo.

awagsFare 09-04-2012 01:35 AM

you point me out bokeh and a fence in shot #1 http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/tongue2.gif

monologue 09-04-2012 01:36 AM

Is that not a fence? and the blur I assumed was bokeh. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/tongue2.gif

fd8IIys2 09-04-2012 01:40 AM

well i have been known to hang fences over bird nests
http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/tongue.gif

its a trellis and if you want some nice bokeh ive got some in the last photo. but fair is fair. its a crummy shot http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/frown.gif *crawls into a hole and cries*

Shit, your photos are worlds better than mine, lol. I have a DSLR, and I can't shoot for shit. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/tongue2.gif

Argurnenoni 09-04-2012 01:48 AM

does saying "shit" a lot mean you like them? *sniffle*

ppaelkos 09-04-2012 01:56 AM

Nikon d40 with a Nikon SB600 speed light, a 35mm f1.8 prime lens, a 55-200, 18-55, 28-70.

I can't be bothered really, so that's why I haven't haha.
