OK well first of all did you load in the drivers "first" and then plug in the USB wireless adapter ?
Second did you turn on the Wireless part of the Router ? What type of Router is it ? Usually it will take an address like In Chrome type in the address bar the 192.168.1.1 with no http if it's a Linksys.. If not you need to find out what the proper 192.168.x.x address to get into the router will be.. Get back to me when you know all this stuff.. ![]() |

Sorry Dude I had missing the link..
It says in the Manual of your Router to either use http://www.routerlogin.net or http://www.routerlogin.com Follow the directions in this PDF version of the manual to finish the set up.. You should set it to DHCP and also either use WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK for a Password Phrase ftp://downloads.netgear.com/files/WN...WW_23Jan09.pdf |

open start > run
type cmd and press enter. Then type into the command prompt that appears: ping www.google.co.nz (any website will do, does not matter) If the request times out, you are not connected to the internet. If it comes back with statistics, you are connected to the internet. This will help ascertain as to what the problem is. Some commands that might also help in the meantime that work as catch all solutions to network connectivity issues: ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt netsh winsock reset catalog (a reboot will have to be performed after these two commands) |
