Default Computer assistance, please!
This screen is popping up with increased frequency, then my Internet Explorer restarts. **heavy, labored sigh**

Internet Explorer Unhandled Exception

An unhandled exception occured in 3rd party module and will be closed. You may send an automatic report created to development centre for further investigation...

I haven't followed through. It bugs me that center is spelled with a British/European version. Should it?

I've never noticed how it is spelled. Real errors in IE will be logged in event viewer.

What EXACTLY are you doing when this problem happens? What website are you viewing? Is your copy of Windows up to date? Is your Java and Adobe Flash upto date?

You should use a different browser. Internet Explorer is not safe.

Download Firefox 3.6 or Google Chrome. Both are good browsers and are much safer then IE.

PURSUANT TO THE 5TH AMMENDMENT YADA YADA YADA:

You should try to download malwarebytes from malewarebytes.org and run it on your computer. This will knock these things out. Then download firefox and use that instead of IE. You can obtain firefox from www.mozilla.com

This runs much better and faster than IE ever thought about. It is also much safer too!

Please pay the fee immediately!!

Where do I find event viewer? (Don't laugh!)

I usually have three pages open, but I seem to be in facebook most of the time this has occured. And mostly I seem to be backing out of a page; it happens when I am changing screens.

Am not sure exactly how to tell things are out of date but who knows? I've had this computer for almost two years... (bought new).

Thanks, nline. I'll check into this further tonight. I gotta go walk while the sun is out!

Where do I find event viewer? (Don't laugh!) Why would I laugh. It's NOT a normal user function. Is this Xp or Vista?

Vista. Thank goodness it isn't easily found - I looked all over the tool bar!

Ok, I'm out to walk another mile. Legs are resisting exercise today.
