Counter Strike 1.6 Error - DiscussWorldIssues - Socio-Economic Religion and Political Uncensored Debate

So I "borrowed" a stand alone copy of CS 1.6 from the intrabutts. It works fine if I just play a game by myself but if I try to connect to a server I get an "Invalid CD Key" error. I'm also running it in Wine on Ubuntu. Any suggestions or do I need to "borrow" another copy.
