Continuous printing using PDF files
I have a PDF file that is 48 pages long.
Anyone know a way to get it to print those pages continuously without a page break?? I have a continuous printer but can't get it to combine the pages and not leave a blank space between each one.http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/bek009.gif |

I wish it was that easy!!!!http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo.../icon_cool.gif There aren't blank pages........there are 48 pages.....the printer stops at each page there is a break for......I want it to not to!!!! http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/wink.png |
Yep, it prints them all.....but has a gap in between each page.
There was someone here who knew how to do it.....but they are long gone. *sigh* guess it is back to try and try again.http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...on_neutral.gif |
Can you set it to print every other page?

Indy try this.
This is assuming your using Reader version 8 Goto Edit/Preferences/Accessibility then check the box labeled "Always use Page Layout Style" Then click in the drop down box beside it "Single Page Continuous" See if that works. |

Guess I may have to suck it up and call the lady who used to work here. |

Indy, do you know how to cut and paste using rice? [color] |
I found the paper copies we already had.......now this thread is moot.
At least until someone sends me another PDF to print. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/wink.png |
New models aren't necessarily better. In 1989, I had a similiar problem like yours. All I had to do was look at the printer manual and enter the code on the printer ( not the computer) that would overide (skip) the "turn to the next page instruction". See? No need to adjust the computer!!! No need to make alterations on PDF. Maybe they have software equivalents for entering these printer codes via the computer. Also, each horizontal line is actually maybe a hundred horizontal lines, each, one dot or one bit thick. Adjusting this can close that gap that appears as a blank. |
Is pdf really that good, considering the printing problem Indy is encountering at the moment? Is pdf really really really necessary in government - so much so that a large population of the internet public cannot access them? WHY ARE ALL GOVERNMENT OFFICES USING PDF? We here at Midland Reporter Telegram's http://www.myopenforum.com don't use PDF. And everybody can access what's printed on MOF. I think government just likes to waste taxpayers' money and turnover money to certain people that they like for whatever alibi they can find. |
