The UN is not a bad organisation in my POV, it just needs a strong determined and obstinate US above it to prevent it from falling apart. Yep, that's why...

Most people in the world are usually wrong! And in most cases it starts with their religious beliefs. If there is one tiny people on earth that taught me this, well...

The UN is useful when taken into account its original purposes (to enfore the post WWII status quo, with the Allies on top - the hegemony of the Allies) and in this function (expressed in the SC) along with a forum for international meeting and diplomacy, with it NOT being anything like a governing body (the GA) - room for both public and private diplomacy (embodied in the GA and various other things).

However, the cold war undid the usefullness of the SC, and the rise of the Pan Islamic movement in the UN has undone the usefullness of the GA.

No, it's not the US that's running the UN, but it is the same web of cults that run both.

1. People of like mind associate together.
2. Poor people do this. Rich people do this.
3. The elite around the world do this.
4. Your local city council does this.

Any propositions for a new UN are most welcome. But they have to be better than the present world organization. In the minds' of the majority of the world's countries.
