Men, obviously.

What, SPECIFICALLY, is the law that Bush broke - for which he ought to be impeached?
Talk about an easy question to answer.

Try the 4th Amendment, and the FISA statute. He's violated the 4th Amendment, and has not fulfilled the requirements for the exceptions allowed by the FISA statute. Bush's argument is that he can violate both laws since Congress allegedly granted him dictatorial powers following 9/11.

His argument is simply "yes, I violated both laws, but Congress gave me the authority to do so." Congress never gave him any such authority, and as such, he's broken the law and committed an impeachable offense.

I just read this in the news

"A coalition in Congress is being formed to support impeachment," an administration source said.

Sources said a prelude to the impeachment process could begin with hearings by the Senate Judiciary Committee in February. They said the hearings would focus on the secret electronic surveillance program and whether Mr. Bush violated the 1978 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. Here:

I would not have any orgasms over that. It's election year and the Democras don't have anything to run on so they run against the Unted States.
Old crap.

Matt,

Kindly show me where the major corporate stations (NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN) have covered the Zogby poll on their prime evening newscasts.

All I can reference the Rasmussen poll showing 64% of Americans believe NSA should monitor telephone calls between 'terrorism suspects.'

The thread title is fallacious.

First it assumes he is guilty...second it is not 52%.
43% disagreed, 6% didn't answer - that's 49%, the margin of error is 3%.
So it is actually 48% - 54% agree.
Third - they did not agree for him to be impeached - they agreed that "If the President is guilty..Congress should consider impeachment.

You ever consider working for the NYT? - you would fit right in.

Google it, oh lord of Google. I suggested that before, but you have apparently opted for the conspiracy-theory humbug. Big surprise, that.

I personally saw the story on NBC and CBS here.

Pretty forthright about a 'censored' story, they were.

If you were credible, I'd say 'okay'.

But you are not.

I did 'google' it, and found only sites such as 'The Moderate Independent' which were complaining that the major corporate news agencies have not covered it.

It was in 'The Wisconsin State Journal' today (Rightwing rag) under a Knight Ridder byline. And on pg#1.

First time I'd seen anyone other than NPR cover it in the manner it deserved.

Pretty low to call someone you do not know a liar without proof.

Just about what I expected from you.

You???

Crying about being called a liar?

I am stating that based on what I've seen from your 'posts', I need corroborating evidence, and so far, all I have found is evidence to the contrary.

FYI,

I am honest enough to say if I do find said evidence.

And I reference what happened in Milwaukee last week as proof of that.

Matt,

two points for follow-up:

1. I did find a single reference to the Zogby poll being cited on corporate news, although not on prime time network news.

Seems that Keith Olbermann on a Thursday Night for a single 10 minute spot back in July when the polwas first done (note: exact release was in June 30th, 2005.

Based on coverage of Watergate and even Monicagate, you can see how the censorship works.

Also, to document one of the FEW cases of voter disenfranchisement (non-systemic in nature; an isolated incident) by Democrats, I would ask you to look at the 'No Contest' plea entered by 2-3 local Dem Campaign workers (including Rep Gwen Moore's son) for slashing the tires on 25 vans rented by the Wisc Republican Party to ferry potential Republican voters to the polls in Nov, 2005.
