This is absolutely terrifying

Here's a quote that someone posted as a comment on my friend's blog:

President Bush is a good man — he’s got a ranch and everything. We should just support our President and not worry about thinking so much.

Comment by Dr. Memory — November 14, 2005 @ 9:28 pm I fervently hope that Dr. Memory doesn't actually believe this, and is just going for shock value.

But I have to wonder: has anyone personally met someone over the age of 12 or 13 who truly believes this? Any such person should be sterilized immediately, I think.

I think anyone who favours eugenics is much scarier than a simpleton supporting President Bush.

All right, all right; I was exaggerating. But simpletons like this really do scare me. I'm surprised you're implying that they're not a problem in society.

I don't know, the guys got a point. I mean, why not just support or president and use our thinking elsewhere? And Bush does have that ranch, you can't argue with that.

I mean, what are we supposed to do, just forget about the ranch?

Who says this guy ISN'T 12 or 13. He sounds like he's NINE!

Sterilize people who believe in eugenics.

ImapFidaarram 12-23-2005 10:33 AM

We should never stoop to their level, just because we don't like somebody doesn't mean we should call them an idiot, its better to educate them if we can. Politicans lie, thats what they do for a living, and what I'd really like for Christmas is for all the senseless bickering to stop. That way, people can actually focus on things that are actually going to do something instead of arguing over such senseless crap like whether Christmas is being wared on. Hold your politicans accountable, just because they lie for a living doesn't mean that we have to take their inability to get things done.
That being said, this is suppose to be the United States of America, not the Divided States of America and so compromise in arguments is highly acceptable. Compromise of safety and liberty is highly stupid and has us walking down the 1984 path. Otherwise, the terrorist have won, not by destroying us but having us destroy ourselves in fear. Personally, fear isn't enough a reason to give up the things that make this country great. I'm not going to say that we'll all get along, but we could put a effort forth at least instead of blaming each other like school children.

Just as soon as we finish 'capital punishing' all those who believe in capital punishment. http://www.uspoliticsonline.net/imag...s/rolleyes.gif

Pity we can't 'abort' all those who support abortion...

Excellent post.

I'd bet after seeing what goes on here we have a member (you) that stopped coming after only two or three posts ?

No surprise and I don't blame you.

I'll stay though, being the opinionated nut that I am. Perfect place for me http://www.uspoliticsonline.net/imag...es/biggrin.gif
