SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Supervisor Chris Daly is firing back at Fox News commentator Bill O'Reilly for comments he made on his radio show Wednesday that encouraged al-Qaida to "blow up" Coit Tower.
O'Reilly reacted to San Franciscans approval of Proposition I, which discourages military recruiters on public high school and college campuses. He advised President George W. Bush to react by withdrawing any military protection for the city. "...If al-Qaida comes in here and blows you up, we're not going to do anything about it. We're going to say, look, every other place in America is off limits to you, except San Francisco. You want to blow up the Coit Tower? Go ahead," O'Reilly said. http://www.kron4.com/Global/story.as...07018&nav=5D7l I don't agree with O'Reilly one bit here regarding the US not defending San Francisco, birth place of AIDS and the Headquarters for the Homosexuals. San Franciso is part of America and will be defended, regardless of what the cowards there say or do. We will defend San Franciso just as we would Austin or Washington D. C. Some may hold their nose while they are doing it, but defend it we will. |

This is freakin' goofy ...go ahead and hold your noses ... maybe the next time a life-saving medical cure comes out of the SF area they'll hold their noses before allowing it to be used on idiots.
Come on ...let's allow us all to have freedom of speech! ...and let's allow the local government to determine if their youth are being corrupted by illegal or at least immoral recruiting practices. Who thinks that the military equally recruits from al sectors of society? |

He was saying all of this in a satirical way - but he has a valid point.
Have you guys READ the proposition? - It is PURE anti-military: Shall it be City policy to oppose military recruiting in public schools and consider funding scholarships for education and training that could provide an alternative to military service? In other words... "Shall we vote to ban recruiters from seeing our kids, and shall we spend some money to try and talk them out of serving" |
