My anti=political rant
Those of you who have read my posts know that I am a rabid Bush-Basher, I am proud to admit it. However, to me, his Veteran's day speach was the last straw He is getting on my nerves, (actually he is stomping on my LAST NERVE.) His speach was a mishmash of his rehashed, and again rehashed garbage. I listened off and on for about a half hour as he spewed his disengenioous notions, and finally turned him off. Now, I am not one to call for his impeachment, because he would only be replaced vby another of his cronies ( though likely much more intelligent than he) and I firmly feel that a lame-duck would be less damaging than any of his accessories (before or after the fact) In 08 we may have the chance to remedy the situation ----IF WE SURVIVE THAT LONG I have voted in 14 different presidential elections. only three time, had I been able to vote FOR a canidate.. the rest of the time I had to vote against one. (or not vote at all, as was the situation in my first chance.) * Eisenhower/ Nixon vs Stevenson. I didn't think Eizenhower could last thru a second term, and I didn't know which would be worse, Nixon Part of the time, or Stevenson all the time. * I voted for Kennedy but he didn't last long and caused the following no-brainer: * I voted for Goldwater, and most definitely against Lady Bird Jphnson (the rteal president), her husband, and the rest of the murderous clan * I voted strongly (and always -regardless of office) AGAINST ""da Crook" NIXON * also against Reagan and the president Nancy * I voted for Clinton, and would have done so again if he could have run. He made mistakes, true, but so does everyone. * and much to my present sorrow, I voted against that nothingless Gore, in favor of our present error in judgement (Including mine) I am ashamed to admit that I voted for Bush in the 2000 Election. * then I voted in favor of another nothing less in hopes of dethroning "da Shrub in 2004. I hope 2008 will give us some reasonable choices I am a moderate independant, and I find fault with both parties(or either party) when it is due. For istance, The Democratic party caved in and royally screwed up by voting for Bush's Tax reduction package, which has turned into a disaster. Further, in a panic they voted overwheming for that Unconstitutional peice of garbage called the Patriot Act. It seems they didn't think Constitutional rights were important. Now back to the speach. Though he put a different spin on the situation, (equating "HIS" lies to the actions of many democrats,) he was right in saying that those persons who bought into his insinuations (LIES) about the need to go to war. need to get their ducks in a row. and admit that they were wrong. Although, to their credit, many, many of them have recognized the need to get out now, instead of continuing the farce. |
