Bottom line before we get too far afield.
Most Black leaders are racists of the most crass sort. The NAACP is proof of that. Except for those in the Republican party I can't think of one that is not. All of them constantly whine that White people don't do enough for Black people. It's pathetic! These same so-called leaders attack Republican Blacks as Uncle Toms or Tokens. Instead of pushing education as the one and only sure road to success, Blacks teach Whining 101. Why is it that Blacks are on the bottom rung of the intellectual ladder? Are they born stupid or are they told by their own people that they are stupid and need the Democrats and White Liberals to look after them? Which is it? Obviously education is not a priority with all too many Blacks and certainly never with the likes of the NAACP, Jesse and the rest of the race whores. Blacks have gotten a free ride for far too long. |

Why is this even news? There's always some leftist comparing GWB to Hitler, or Republicans to Nazis, or fascists, or Beelzebub himself. It's the standard insult the whiners throw out after whichever defeat they lately suffered, whether an election loss, a Supreme Court appointment they don't like, a display of Democrat ineptitude or criminality, a court case, etc. And there have been a lot of those recently. Does Julian Bond deserve any more attention for his turn at the slimefest, than any of the others do? I object more to that than I do to the overused and idiotic comparisons to the Nazi party. Hell most of those that make those comparisons are so ignorant they know nothing of the actual Nazi party and the pure evil they represent. Far too many Blacks don't care how badly they damage their own kids with these kinds of speeches. |

I am not defense I am offended when folks even talk race because it's about the phoniest of all phoney liberal non issues. ![]() So, uh, how does it feel to be a minority in your own city? Just curious. By the way, what is the population of whites compared to Hispanics in the US? When speaking of minorities, we aren't really talking about El Paso, where you are clearly the minority. Oh yeah, I guess that applies to Texas now too. ![]() |

[QUOTE=Gadfly
These people can say anything and get away with it because Americans silently snicker knowing they don't matter anyway. Allowing the Julian Bonds and the Belefonte's to say anything with impunity is the worst kind of insult, almost as bad as having a GADFLY posting garbage all the time WITH IMPUNITY QUOTE] seems as tho----------- |

Damn. All these people on here from Texas. Mexicans come from a different culture than most Blacks. Most Mexicans (have to put MOST or else you know) come from a working environment, although their mariachi can get on my nerves on Saturday night. I have nothing but Mexican neighbors and every now and then I just have to fire up my 800 watt audio system to drown them out. Other than that - no problems. None. |

You know, Gadfly, your topic got lost in all of your racial comments. Why not start over with just the fact that the NAACP said these things and there's no big media uproar over it. Leave out the racial crap, that Philip's job. Let's just talk about the story.
Now, it's true that the left can say what they want with no backlash and had the right said anything like this, there would be ten threads started here on how bad the right is. |

Sugah, how about we team up?
You do the straight story, and I do the editorializing. The racial crap is the heart of this thread. Now, Phillip also has a different job, but I'm afraid his is a bit simpler. Yes Sugah, there are Black bigots and a lot of them. White people are not allowed to say that, but I don't pay much attention to that. I'm afraid you also did not read my posts. What part did you not agree with? |

Well, I did a simple and quick google search, and just from the little I read, it appears there has been some friction taking place between Bush and Bonds. Supposedly, Bush passed on an invitation by the NAACP and chose not to attend one of their annual events last year. I guess he was still ruffled about the criticism and comments made by Bonds about Bush selecting nominees from the "Taliban wing of American Politics" and some other comments of that nature. So perhaps Bonds is still offended that Bush declined to accept the invitation.
I was reading somewhere else that Bush supposedly won't deal with Bonds, and would rather deal with other people within the NAACP. I guess it's safe to say that Bonds and Bush don't think too highly of each other. |
