While he's moaning that Jewish campaign contributions are down a projected 75% because of his Israel policies, he creates a Department of Brown-Shirts to rough up Jewish groups opposed to that policy.
http://www.commentarymagazine.com/20...israel-groups/ From news article: The Washington Post’s Greg Sargent – the go-to reporter for the White House’s opinion on the White House’s relationship with Jewish voters – writes today the Obama campaign is planning to send out surrogates to go on the offensive against pro-Israel groups critical of the president’s Israel policy. “We will have highly credible spokespeople and surrogates speak out in a general manner in support of what this administration has done, and articulate it in a way that we think will resonate with voters who care about this issue,” former Conference of Presidents leader Alan Solow told Sargent. “We will meet with supporters who have expressed concerns or want to be briefed on these issues on a one-on-one basis.” |

I think the use of the word "retard" for the President and "Brown-Shirts" for his supports to be highly offensive. There is nothing "retarded" about having supporters defend his policies and his supporters are hardly Nazis.
Criticize the President all day long, but I don't want to be associated with such disrespectful name calling. If we cannot defend Israel without resorting to hyperbole, ad hominem attacks, and outrageous name calling, I really don't want to be part of it. Shalom u'l'hitraot. |

What concerns me is, it seems as if Obama feels that the Jewish campaign donors are nothing more than sheep. His attitudes towards Israel have been less than positive and somehow he is under the impression that with a few sweet words he can swing the American Jews back into his camp. Are people really that fickle or is he really that naive?
