Little known fact - the black hole the collider will create will swallow only ignorant people, the rest of us are safe.

According to Stephen Hawking the conditions created in the collider happen all the time in the atmosphere and at higher intensity. Therefore the earth will not be swallowed by a black hole.

Except for ignorant people, of course...

We have more to worry about in 2012 then we do this scientific experiment..lol.

If you want to belive the superstition and prophecy, Catastrophe is supposedly set to strike on December 21, 2012.

It was supposed to be by the Aztec calendar running out in 2K12, but they also said that that is 4 years out of alignment.

So shortly after McCain is elected, Bush will start WWIII by nuking a bunch of countries that do not have nukes (yet) and we will all go higgledy-piggledy.


BTW, there is no indication that a microscopic black hole would be able to stay alive long enough to absorb enough mass to keep going and counteract its own decay. So I really do not know what everyone is freaking about, aside from a fear of Science.

Four years out of alignment which way?

I'm doing some vacation planning for 2009. If the alignment pushes the doomsday four years earlier to December 2008 I'll re-arrange my travel schedule.

From what I have HEARD loft, 4 years towards right now, not away.

So 2K8 is what some have been saying is the end of time.

Or just when the Time Life calendar that the Aztecs got with their order of "famous human sacrifices of the early 3rd century" commemorative pates runs out.
