Although my Italian friends do blaim their government whenever Mt. Etna erupts .

Who is Burma's biggest supporter in the region who has built up important commercial links to the corrupt military junta that has killed thousands of its own people? China.

Will the US & EU boycott the Games if China fails to exert change in Burma? No.

Should they? Yes.
