Default David Frum: My Pussy Hurts.
It’s a very strange experience to have your friends think you’ve gone crazy. Some will tell you so. Others will indulgently humor you. Still others will avoid you. More than a few will demand that the authorities do something to get you off the streets. During one unpleasant moment after I was fired from the think tank where I’d worked for the previous seven years, I tried to reassure my wife with an old cliché: “The great thing about an experience like this is that you learn who your friends really are.” She answered, “I was happier when I didn’t know.”

Sidewalks are more or less level and sometimes the tree roots push some of them up at an angle due to their usual growth making it even more important to watch where you're walking especially in the winter when there may be ice on the sidewalk due to the more likely potential of frozen water on the ground, due to seasonally lower temperatures. Ice, which has a long tradition of being slippery ...

This is how this guy's droning inanity sounds to me.

Frum is lamenting the weakening of the establishment's hold on Conservatism.. Warning of peril. Doom, even.

But, the administration he served practiced all the things near to his heart.. It personified them. .. and then had to be rescued by the same Tea Party he rips to shreds here.

What he wants is a return to the days when we had 5 network TV channels and a handful of papers.. It was easier for his kind back then.

No upstarts.. Their failure wasn't complete, or nearly as visible..

He's the guy who's wanting to go back in time, to a safer place... When idiots like himself could fool others with complete impunity.

He's lamenting "extremism" here.. Without realizing that his failures are why this is necessary.

It's not the 80's.. We don't have an endless supply of money and growth to feed useless moderate ideas.

Clear change is needed.. and since he opposes that, he's left feeling like he is locked outside.

And I guess he is. He locked himself outside.

Sure. Those days are over. We go one way or the other from here, ideologically...

And fiscally.. We don't have room for all his deeply held nonsense.

They spent it all.

America desperately needs a responsible and compassionate alternative to the Obama administration’s path of bigger government at higher cost. And yet: This past summer, the GOP nearly forced America to the verge of default just to score a point in a budget debate. Right.

So um.....cutting spending, is something that shouldn't be considered, as it might not be 'compassionate'?

Sorry david......you're the one who has lost it.

The PMS one is pretty cool also.

Nothing beats that crying emote. Whoever created that deserves a Nobel for art.
