Default Tyler Perry: 'We are still being racially profiled'
You can see full article at the link above:
http://edition.cnn.com/2012/04/01/sh...tml?hpt=hp_bn1

Abstract
(CNN) -- Racial profiling "should be a hate crime investigated by the FBI," filmmaker Tyler Perry wrote in a Facebook posting Sunday in which he described his own tense encounter with police.
"It was so hostile," Perry, who is African-American, wrote. "I was so confused. It was happening so fast that I could easily see how this situation could get out of hand very quickly. I didn't feel safe at all."
Perry, one of America's most successful film and television producers, said "although we have made significant strides with racial profiling in this country, the world needs to know that we are still being racially profiled."

Read the article. A famous guy who expects to be recognized, wasn't. He made an odd maneuver, that gets you pulled over. He told the cops he thought he was being followed. Since they didn't recognize him, that sounds like crazy talk. Why is he so paranoid? They don't know he's a famous guy. He didn't turn the car off. Cops hate that. It means you may be preparing to run. Usually they tell you to turn the car off. Other cop couldn't see through the dark tint from the passenger side window. Cops hate tinted windows like that. They're illegal in many places. They can't see if you're stashing dope or reaching for a gun. Unrecognized famous dude instinctively reached for something, his keys. You never reach for anything when cops are already eyeballing you suspiciously. Bad idea.

Had I done all that dumb shit in front of a couple of cops, they would have been suspicious and acted like dicks to me, I'm fairly sure of it. Blacks do get profiled, pulled over disproportionately, but what we have here is a guy so rich and famous that he forgot how to deal with people who don't see him as a rich and famous guy . I bet average Joe black guy would know all that shit I said above about cops, right, because they are used to being pulled over and hassled.

Reminds me of

some quotes:
Two bank accounts, two homes
One problem
Even with the O's on his check
The po-po stop him and show no respect
"Is there a problem officer?"
Damn straight, it's called race
That motivate the jake (woo-woo) to give chase
Say they want you successful, but that ain't the case
You livin large, your skin is dark
They flash a light in your face

I will tell you right now racial profiling is just common law enforcement procedure...it is not racist, we do it all the time because it is part of the job...thier race is not the only thing that is taken into account but we also evaluate what kind of car he is driving, what direction he is going, body language etc...the race is just another factor to decide whether we should stop or inspect the person

MK when was the last time you were pulled over? Did you leave the car running? I learned not to do that a very long time ago.

A year or 2 ago when I was crossing lanes in this predominantly Jewish city. They stopped me for "cutting someone off" Saying I could have caused an accident. Right.... I ain't get no ticket though, but that cop wasted like 30 minutes of my time.

I can drive 45 minutes away into some dope spot with my mini-van. If cops see my face they are going to pull my white ass over just for being there. If I say some crazy shit, don't shut the engine off, they will be nervous as hell. If I reach for something they can't see, I'll have a gun stuck in my face.

No matter what I do they'll search the car if I don't have a good excuse for being there. Yes that has happened to me in the past, 5 minutes from my grandma's house.

black people will forever have their heads in the ghetto and will forever be lower class because they justify it instead of fixing it

His name sounds familiar but I didn't know who he was. I had to look him up. I don't know why he'd think anyone would follow him or recognize him.

Because he is "famous"?
But anyways, being famous should not give him better treatment than the average citizen.

Famous to a niche audience. There are people who are more well known than him that don't bother with the paranoia. Kevin Smith fans are weird but you don't see that fat slob worried.
