I don't think it's that dire.... we have a culture that emphasizes community service and charity, so the disadvantaged youth will be reached in one way or another, and the cream will always rise to the top. Being that the US is so big, there will always be a segment that is well educated and competitive in the global scene....

you are half-mexican yourself right?
thats right I'm full latino, half Mexican half salvadorean

and I am still against immigration because it's not about being racist, I can see the affects of a large population of uneducated people in my own town,
It is hard to find people to talk to that are of my own race that are intelligent, I always have to dumb down my conversations or talk about stupid things like TV because that is all they know.

I am not racist at all, but it would be stupid to think that you can have 50% of the population be new comers, and not have it affect a country negatively

Israel passed a law this week that makes it so illegal immigrants are held in jail for 3 years without trial in order to scare new immigrants, I think we should do a variation of this.

It doesn't sound strange at all that a latino immigrant can have those views. I've seen it on immigrants (from Middle East for instance) here also.

It's so fucking stupid those latinos who think you are self-hating, you just can see what's best for a country or society.

the robot age will come soon and many chinese will become unemployed and european countries with low populations will realize they are okay with a small population of quality

The Ceo of Foxconn, the company that creates iPhones said that in 10 years he hopes to have a full robotic factory.

For some reason we imagine that populations have to keep growing, but they don't really have to.

anyway, China is a bit off topic //

I don't know what to think of it.

Anytime an area is mostly non-white, or non-Nordic, in this country, no one wants to visit it, or its considered bad.

Hitler said without the Aryan (read: Nordic), the world would turn into a desert. And its pretty much true. People think Sweden has the best looking women in the world and think Detroit, Camden, Compton, much of Los Angeles, etc, is garbage.

Thank you for a good post. I believe the US will be a regional power in the future, similarly how Brazil is today. As the American demographics change to mirror that of Brazil so will the socioeconomic conditions like extreme wealth disparities, poverty, rampant crime, corruption and so on. This will of course impact on the American ability to influence the world and when the level of poverty in America reaches that of Brazil the US isn't going to have all that much of a say on a global scale. Here's an interesting map where geographical areas of countries are modified by the amount of scientific papers published. In the future you will probably see that map heavily focused on East Asia and China especially whereas the US (and to a lesser extent Europe) will naturally move towards looking like South America.

From being a 90% white nation in the 1960's, America is now seeing its founding white majority in the fast lane to becoming a minority themselves and already by 2015 the majority of children in America will be non-white And crime, poverty, AIDS, etc have all risen accordingly, yes?

In the future the United States will more and more re-adjust to the realities of its completely new demographic situation and will socioeconomically more and more mirror the mixed ~85 IQ societies of South America. I'm curious how Americans, especially whites, feel about the fact that America will become a type of Brazil of the Northern Hemisphere (with the exception perhaps that when winter comes in the US, people will be freezing to death in the favelas). And regardless even of the IQ aspect, who will hold society together when the founding whites become just another minority among many?
The future of the United States belongs to strong, unpopular leaders, who will make Necessary decisions for the good & best of our nation. These men will not become restricted by race or ethnicity, but rather by the ability to lead and command by authority, charisma, posterity, and virtue. The United States will have a new aristocracy.

The future of the United States will become unrivaled, despite all the naysayers and 'haters' out there in the world. China is no threat. US really has no threats even if the entire world bands together against US. Because the Old World mentality has no future, no hope. Outsiders are too stuck in the dead past, too stuck in their old, conservative religions & traditions to adapt & evolve to New World circumstances and opportunities.

I will make the United States into something respectable again, if I have to do it myself, alone. Individualism is our strength. The US Citizen takes it upon himself to make our land, our nation, better and stronger. US Citizens are not bound by limits which haunt, trap, and destroy all other countries, nations, and peoples of the world. That is our gift and blessing. We are not limited by imagination in the US. And we are no longer hindered by dead cultures, religions, and ideologies.

So… I believe… the US strength, posterity, and envy of the world is just beginning, not ending. I have great faith and unlimited optimism in the potential of the United States. I feel that nowhere, on the rest of Planet Earth, can even compare to the Rights, Opportunities, and Privileges of the United States Citizen.

I would rather be nowhere else except living in the United States. And I really have no interest to settle in any other, more limited & restricted, land or tyrannical government, with no prospects & opportunities. I personally am against any 'hater' mentality of the US. Hate is useless. It's a waste of time, money, effort, and energy. Rather than complain about the US, instead take the Responsibility upon your own shoulders, as an Individual, to make your own land, country, or nation better. People need to start with themselves, first. People need to put the responsibility of their own fates in their own hands.

So yes I have great faith in the United States and our future. I don't see any major threats to US whatsoever as a people & nation, at all.

I believe all "problems" or "challenges" can become overcome.

The disco dancing, 45-50 year old today generation is to blame for this. Seeing as my gradparents still had children and I'm the only kid of divorced parents.

Our young generation of whites is not big in numbers and mostly educated by people who were too scared to have more than one child and even more shittier media.

It's game over for european derived people. We had our 500 years of domination, now it's over.

The way the media runs things and corporations are getting more and more involved with politics, things will get difficult, but it will still remain an SP.

We just have to get latinos to get the same mentality of Americans, many have an old world mentality believe it or not.

The US will indeed have a strong leader and aristocracy in the manner of any third world country: a corrupt president and a tiny superwealthy elite. But they will hardly have any greater ideals than accumulating even more wealth on the plight of the general population.

The rest of your post does have some motivational quality and a few really good principles but it remains mostly just a bunch of "GOD BLESS AMERICUHHH"-drivel in which we are to believe that the US will magically always be number one just because it's America. It's as if America doesn't even have to earn it anymore and has somehow risen above the eternal struggle of nature. But I have no doubt that you as young American will learn within your lifetime as the scales are tipping that nothing in life is granted and that nature always wins in the end. America without those "dead white males" isn't America anymore, it's Brazil. Carnaval!

You sound pessimistic about the future of the United States…

What we need is some more optimism and faith in US!

Faith is what we need, not Doubt and Cynicism.

I agree. The US is in a fairly difficult situation with where the economy is headed and the numerous international conflicts we're involved in directly or indirectly but I have faith we'll come out on top again.

Obama either needs to change his approach completely or the Republican nominee needs to not be a war monger and focus on our domestic issues like the economy, education system, healthcare, etc.
