Homeland is a land or country of your birth and is the same as your father's birth.
The USA is mine, particularly the southwest, (AZ,CA)

I have three homelands. The south bay in northern CA, west TN (+ north MS), and central AR. These are the places, where I was born, grew up in, have lived as an adult, attended school in, was married in, worked in, have friends and family in, buried my dead relatives in. These are the places I can find my way without a GPS device, pass as some kind of local, know how to differentiate and interact with local populations.

I'm also vaguely familiar with some other areas through my professional and personal travels, but these are the places which have been my home since my earliest memories begin. Actually for the first time in my life, I am about to leave them behind to live in a new place.

What is your definition of "homeland?"
Homeland is your place-of-birth, plus taking into consideration from which regions of the world the majority of your ancestors originated in.

Do you have a homeland?
What is your homeland,
USA!

and why?
Because we have nukes here.

My place of birth is in the United States with some relatives, but the overwhelming majority of my relatives(both sides) is from the African Continent, but from different regions or countries on the same continent.

Since i lived in many countries and absorbed some of the cultures, i consider each placed i lived(including the United States) to be my homeland, because they all help create the person i am today.

My fatherland is my homeland and it always will be Latvia. And why? Well, I was born here, I was raised here ( as a Latvian), Latvian is my mother tongue and I simply love our culture and all the things connected with Latvia.

Where the Baltic Prussians once lived, the polish "Land of Thousand Lakes" in it's western part.

Northern/ North-Eastern Poland in general, however I am the gentically average Pole which should point me to near Łodź, and good Doc McDonald placed me here, still I was born and brought up in the Lakes, Swamps and forests of old Prussian lands

I will feel in homeland the day I move to a country were I can carry guns with no registration, pay no taxes, be able to smoke whatever i want, be able to do commerce with no limitation, be able to follow the religion or no religion, be able to drive without using seat belt or having a license, be able to marry whoever and how many people I want. And have no Government spying or using police force in order to oppress me.
