The titles of these 2 threads are practically synonyms, right?

How can they be synonymous of each other. What are you trying to say.

Anyways:

Criminals are hated cause they do acts which normal society shuns and does not approve. Even people who gloat over them (or becomes fan-boys); if they were at the end of the chain of action of the criminal, they would break sphincter damn quick. So it is quite lame to glorify rapists and killers.

Drug addicts are hated, cause they move to a position in society where they are "almost" beyond help. Compulsion becomes habit.
