You are correct it is silly to even discuss this, it is obviously Latin America, especially the countries of Cuba, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and Brazil have a good deal of West, Central and south eastern African retention in comparison to the English speaking americas, also most of the popular music genre throughout latin america is basically afro latino derive.
