I've read on the internet that it's true. After conversing with a few on forums and seeing their opinions on black people, I have to say that it's true. You remember that infamous YouTube video of the girl who said no one wanted to date Afram women? Believe it or not. Her sentiments are widely held among Habeshas. Now I'm not saying there aren't exceptions, which I know there are. Some members on here who are Ethiopians don't hold such sentiments.

Some Habeshas don't think highly of African-Americans, that's true. It's nothing unique though, that goes for some other Africans and immigrants in general as well, due to the preconceived notions that exist about African-Americans. Actual people living in Ethiopia and Eritrea don't think poorly of African-Americans, if anything it's probably the opposite.

In the DC area Ethiopian woman and Afram woman tend to have a lil problems but at the same time many Ethiopians and Aframs in this area get along fine and many love and embrace black culture in America and feel connected to it. In fact this Ethiopian dude tried to talk to my cousin in a club lol |

Yes I'm the ignorant one. Not the people with plates in their faces.
Obviously I know that most people in Ethiopia don't live like that; I am just demonstrating that when they live in a country where around half of the population live in poverty, they aren't really in a position to look down upon anyone else. |

Yep but I find it difficult to assimilate, I won't just sit and accept it and say Ït "is it all fine". People will always be sexist, racist, violent etc because it's in our nature. Nothing can stop it. You can contain but you can't stop it. Racism nowadays is more or less hidden away and yet it still there, regardless about what we do to fight against it. All these things are no disease, we were meant to feel this way. Do animals give one another equality. They tend look down upon others amongst their own breed or clan, perhaps a superiority complex in the animal kingdom ![]() except animals (from what I know) have no morality or greater intelligence of anything unlike us ![]() 'Does an alpha lion see a zebra equal to another lion or does he see himself above them all' If someone cuts off your arm, you would want revenge since it is only natural to feel that way because it has been implanted into you. ![]() That's why I find it strange to define evil since evil is something that you/or others think/or feel is wrong, but for those who commit wrongdoing, yet see it as good thang, does that make it evil or good? Sure harming someone is bad, but we harm and murder animals for meat so in someway that is evil. However, if someone were to say it's only because 'we eat the meat' than I can say the same about murdering a man and eatting his flesh ![]() ![]() So what is evil? The bible, Qu'ran and other scriptures have different opinions about what is good and evil...which is right? One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between two "wolves" inside us all. One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith." The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?" The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed." |

I hope this don't sound offensive, why are some Aframs so narcissistic especially on these forums? in other words, Africans have other things to worry about, realistically aframs don't factor in most people lives. Which is true!
Here is the list of topic some Africans whether west, north, east or central or south talk about and it is hardly Aframs. Economics-within our respective countries, because most people really want to be in their homeland besides the host country they are presently in Family Relationship within our families Politics Religion Governments within our respective countries Education etc, and the list goes on, therefore Aframs do not even factor in most people lives and this can apply to most Aframs towards Africans as well. |

I don't know if this is trolling on the part of the OP or not but in response let me say that although some Africans may have stereotypes about Africans the case is also that African-Americans also have highly negative stereotypes of Africans. I knew these African immigrants that went to a predominately African-American high school. On their first few days of school they wore suits and ties and dress shoes because that is how they dressed back home because school was a place to dress up. They were mercilessly teased for both their accents and the fact they were from Africa. The East Coast may be different but in places like the South and Midwest the African-Americans exhibit some really negative attitudes towards Africans). There was even this one East African guy who married an African-American woman my friend knew and her family practically disowned her.
