Default Way to go, MJD
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/83...holdout-sunday

Khan called your bluff, and you lost big. Over a million in fines and nothing to show for it.

Nnot only that, but his numbers will likely be down this year due to the holdout. Therefore, less leverage when his deal expires.

No one wins here, but MJD is the biggest loser.

Eh, that money goes to charity and is tax deductible. Somehow I think he's in the bracket that pays more than 1.2 million in taxes.

Plus Florida has no state income tax.

I won't cry for him.

He missed stupid waste-of-time training camp and a potential injury.

And he still makes millions.

Quite the loser.

He's reigning rushing champ and obviously understands that nobody is going to sign him to big $$$ as a 29 year old free agent.

I think he was smart to try. And I think the Jags were smart to realize they had all the leverage (especially since they're not a playoff caliber team) and will happily let him walk as an "old" RB after next season.

"OLD" RBs who have proven to be a pain in th ass don't get a lot of phone calls. i.e Clinton Portis, Ryan Grant, Larry Johnson, etc.

JAX is clearly in the driver's seat.

If MJD gets through the season injury free, he will find tha JAX will reward him somehow. There really is no market for him otherwise, IMO.

Not unless the NFL changes the rules to favor running backs.
