let's be honest, this guy didn't have to go on a vegan diet to quit being a fat ass. he had to stop eating shitty food in mass quantities.

and he's still a fat ass.
Which proves the point that not all vegans are skinny and massless. Thank you ashey

He just went vegetarian.

When he went 'vegatarian', someone in the Brewers clubhouse said he would eat gigantic salads made of iceburg lettuce, piled with Doritos, cheddar cheese, french dressing, and so on.

Yeah, that's not vegan. Or healthy, for that matter.
if true, that's hilarious.

bet it doesn't taste like cheese.
It's not very good. It's like margarine. If it was so great, why do they try so hard to convince everyone that it tastes like butter?

http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2003/...172709693.html

If Arian truly sticks with this and produces like he has ill be a believer. Otherwise that list is junk.. I wanna see a vegan run for 1700 yards and 15 tds..
Will 1853 and 16 work?

Also, there's the case of the NFL player who may be the best all time at his position....

You've seen him play. You should be a believer now. You said so.

I'm considering picking up some of those new spicy chicken McBites, and throwing them on top of a frozen cheese pizza.

Tonight is crispy, crunchy, sorta spicy Kentucky Fried Baby Cluck-clucks. Yummmm, my mouth waters just thinking of that shit.

Tomorrow is a nice frozen pizza, with cow produced cheese.

Vegans don't know what you are missing.

As a last comment from me, and I will repeat things I have said over and over in these discussons here, you will never and have never heard me say that everyone should go veg or vegan, or that it is inherently a "healthier" way to eat than any other diet. It is just as easy to eat badly w/ or w/o ingesting animal products.
I cannot say what is in any particualr athlete's decision to go off animal products to whatever degree, but for most vegs I know it is as much a lifestyle choice as a diet choice, to decide to get away from animal products. Many people switch when they see one of the many documentaries out there about animal food or animal byproduct production, and many like me are just more sensitive to seeing an animal on my plate. Many are just bandwagonners doing what appears to be "cool" at the time, or one or more of their friends are doing it.
I will say I especially respect any athlete, especially ones on teams or in "tough" contact sports, who makes this choice because they know they will get a hard time from their training partners and teammates, and it takes an extra bit of will power to make and keep to this decision.
I will end w/ what I always say when asked about becoming a vegetarian - One should eat what they feel comfortable eating, and be smart about any change of diet, or it is a waste of time.

Daniel Bryan, former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, is a vegan. CM Punk, current WWE Champion, is Straight Edge - which is supposed to be vegan in addition to other things, though I'm not so sure how he eats. He's widely rumored to be a man whore, and that would be a violation of Straight Edge for some people but not others. A vegan diet goes about the same way.

I know a pro wrestler than doesn't do drugs is pretty unbelievable, but he's actually serious about it.

No, I was referring to the term "straight edge". I have often heard the Jonathon Richman song "I'm Straight", but had no idea it was part of a "subculture".

Tell us about it when you've done it for way longer than a week.
