Default blackmon dui
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/80...n-arrested-dui

Receiver Justin Blackmon, picked fifth overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars in April's draft, was arrested for aggravated DUI early Sunday in Stillwater, Okla., the Tulsa World reported.

The 22-year-old Blackmon was booked into the Payne County Jail at 10 a.m. CT, the newspaper reported. Under Oklahoma law, a driver's blood alcohol level must be .15 or higher to be charged with aggravated DUI.

It is the second DUI arrest for the former Oklahoma State star, who also was arrested in 2010 in Texas on a misdemeanor DUI charge. He was suspended one game by Oklahoma State as a result of that arrest.

The Jaguars traded up two spots to take the 6-foot-1, 207 pound Blackmon with the No. 5 pick in the 2012 draft, hoping to add a franchise receiver to an offense that ranked last in the league in 2011.

Blackmon caught 122 passes for 1,522 yards and 18 touchdowns for Oklahoma State last season. He had 111 receptions for 1,782 yards and 20 scores the previous year.

And Jeffrey.

I'm not sure what was so awesome about Blackmon that had him get picked so high, but Dez Bryant so low. I would like the Jags to do well, so I'm hoping he's not the next Rashaun Woods.

His Character was supposed to be his quality over the rest. He was in a pass happy system.

Blackmon catches everything that comes near him. He's going to be a very good player.

Yeah, I never got that either...He had just as many red flags going into it as Jeffrey, if not more.

But he didn't have amazing size or speed.

Maybe he'll be good. But he's going to have to be amazing, and better than the receivers drafted after him, in order for that to look like a good pick. Or trade.

And on that point Ill bet money he wont.. Wont be so much his fault but he wont outshine the other rookie WRs with better support systems and QB's. Being in Jax is going to damper his success.

Jeffery catches everything that comes near him, and is huge. He was available in the second round.

Blackmon's best trait, from everything I've read, is his competitiveness. That's all well and good, but you'll find those try-hard types in the later rounds as well.

I'm not saying he's a Charles Rogers or Mike Williams, I'm just thinking that Floyd and Jeffrey, if all else fails, are still tall. Andre Johnson and Calvin Johnson could run bad routes, but are still faster and taller and can out jump pretty much any corner.

I figure if nothing else, Jeffrey can be a Keyshawn or Burress type. Or if he can't get separation, Dustin Keller.
Floyd could be like one of the previously mentioned Johnson's, if he keeps his head on straight.

Blackmon could be a Greg Jennings-type. Or, he could be Kevin Dyson.

Floyd has the benefit of having Fitzgerald not only drawing coverage, but pushing him and demanding he stay on task.
Jeffrey, he's got Hester and Marshall, and if you could take Hester's leadership and combine it with Marshall's production, you'd have Fitzgerald. Wright, Quick, Randle, Sanu, Benjamin, Childs, and Marvin Jones are all in roster situations where they have a chance to make big contributions quickly, most with much less pressure. Broyles and Toon are heading to systems that tend to make receivers look good regardless.

Blackmon is behind the eight ball a bit, with big questions at QB-although I think it's way too early to write off Gabbert or Henne completely yet- and his biggest challenge, the one that he shares with only Brian Quick among the receivers listed, is that there is no other wide out that teams will throw coverage to, unless people are convinced Robinson wasn't a one year wonder, or that Lee Evans can rejuvenate his career.

I guess Quick will be the interesting comparison...Both have first rounder QB's coming off of poor seasons, both have star running backs, both have questions on the offensive line, and both are pretty much the best receiving option on the team. Quick is just supposed to be much more raw than Blackmon. So if Quick puts up similar or better numbers in his rookie year, then that's a problem.

BTW, DRulz, I spent part of Friday at Soldier Field. Not sure if you've been there since the renovation, so if you are interested, my wife took some pictures.

I was surprised at how small the Pro Shop was. But the wall with the water falling over it was pretty nice.
