Vilma assisted Williams in "establishing and funding the program." Vilma offered $10,000 bounty in cash for knocking out Kurt Warner. |

Vilma later "pledged the same amount" to anyone who knocked Brett Favre out of the 2009 NFC Championship game. Pro Football Weekly @ProFootballWkly Scott Fujita pledged "a significant amount of money" to bounty pool during 2009 playoffs. Fujita is now with the #Browns. What the saints did... yes. But also what the PLAYER did. How many players were involved in this and not suspended? These players obviously went above and beyond to get their suspensions. Goodell focused on "those individuals who had a higher degree of responsibility and whose conduct warranted special attention." |

Can Green Bay drop Hargrove now? Seems like a waste having him out there for 8 games when he won't be up to speed. |

If it's the first 8 games during 4 of which Neal will also be suspended, they may not want to keep him. But I recall his contract was structured so that the Packers got him extra cheap if he did get suspended. So he may be cheap insurance for later in the year. |

Um, the league has no obligation to do it before the draft. Not to mention, it isn't as if the Packers weren't aware this could be a possibility when they signed him. However, since there is no precedent for this, maybe they would have thought 2 games, maybe a fine, maybe something else. I suspect they were tipped off in some way. Which is why I don't get the Saints' draft picks. |
