I think thats a pretty fair price considering...
Titans, Kamerion Wimbley agree to five-year deal Posted by Michael David Smith on March 20, 2012, 9:09 AM EDT Getty Images On Monday night Kamerion Wimbley and the Tennessee Titans were close to a deal, and on Tuesday morning the deal is done. Adam Caplan reports that the Titans and Wimbley have agreed to terms on a five-year, $35 million deal with $13.5 million guaranteed and $11.5 million in the first season. Wimbley was a highly sought-after free agent pass rusher who had drawn interest from several teams. He decided to cancel two other trips when he liked what the Titans were offering. The 28-year-old Wimbley started his career with the Browns as the 13th overall pick in the 2006 NFL draft. He had 11 sacks as a rookie but hasn’t been able to match that production since. He has, however, had a good couple of years in Oakland the last two seasons, recording a total of 16 sacks, and the durable Wimbley has only missed one game in his career. Wimbley has played outside linebacker for most of his career but the Titans plan to use him as a full-time defensive end. |
