Default Manning = Superbowl Champs?
Which of the leading teams to get Manning becomes a legitimate Superbowl contender if they land him?

edit: Forgot to check the box to allow multiple selections. Guess you can type them or something unless a mod wants to help out.

None of the above. The guy's not even a playoff winner over his career.

The Broncos had a good defense, and a great running game last year. Now granted, they put up great running numbers partly because of Tebow, and they'll take a big hit in those numbers if they're playing Manning, but still, I think if they get Manning, they're easily West favorites. I don't think it makes them AFC favorites, but definitely makes them a possibility for an 11-12 win team, and a first round bye.

That's all a big IF.......Manning's neck is healthy.

I am in the who cares camp mostly because I do not even really think about football @ this time of year w/ the NCAA's, 3 weeks untill baseball starts for real, MLS season openers, and the final push of the NHL regular season all having more interest for me. I do not get into Pro Football until late in training camp at the earliest.

I would also add that except for Arizona, these are all outdoor teams and he is an indoor QB WHEN HE WAS HEALTHY.

San Fran is also on the list, but they have notoriously tricky winds.

My guess is that he's washed up and that he's one hit from a wheel chair.

Tennessee and Miami have pretty nice weather.

The niners were really good last year and Manning would make them better if he stays healthy and doesn't upset the chemistry. Still no sure thing in my book.

They couldn't even beat the lesser Manning in Lambeau.

The 'lesser' Manning has a better playoff career.

Please don't try to say Eli is better. One is a four time MVP and the other will never sniff an MVP. Imagine if Peyton had that Giants defense.

Eli has a slightly higher playoff passer rating and twice as many rings.

I have no problem say Eli is better than Rodgers.

His last game he outplayed him. In the regular season they were even. Eli has 2 SB MVPs.

I voted before I found out that the 9ers are in the mix. If they get him they are easily the favorites in the NFC to me. I thought they were the best overall team last year and a healthy Peyton with Veron Davis and Frank Gore would be dirty.
