BEREA, Ohio -- Peyton Hillis admitted Monday that he probably would've tried to play against the Dolphins on Oct. 2 if his agent hadn't advised against it.

"He was just looking out for me," said Hillis of agent Kennard McGuire. "That's what he's there for, so I have to give him thanks, too. Because I'm stubborn and hardheaded and I like to go out there and play even though I was probably not up for it."

Conversely, Hillis said if McGuire had endorsed playing with the strep throat and flu-like symptoms, he would've heeded that advice.
