I just don't see how the Bears pass on Andrew Luck at number one.

Default How Andrew Luck doesn't go #1
Besides the obvious overexposure that affected guys like Leinart and Brohm.

The situation would call for Carolina to repeat as the worst team in the NFL- no tall order, really.

In that case, with the team and marketing all tied to Cam Newton anyway, the Panthers would...try to trade the pick.

But if they can't get what they are looking for, they would likely either try to improve Newton's weapons (Alshon Jeffery?), or his protection (reuniting the Kalil brothers?) or possibly improving their pass rush with a DE from in state(Quinton Coples).

More than likely, though, Luck goes first. Even if Carolina "wins" the first pick again, the new rookie contract rules should ensure more active trading.
