Seems like you're always using Swann's numbers to justify letting others in....or excluding 'em. And yes I've brought Lynn Swann up but I wasn't the first to bring him up and I won't be the last when it comes to HOF standards. |

Holt is a tough one for me. Compared to some receivers who are yet to be inducted, it's hard to argue Holt -- Bruce, Brown, Carter, Owens, Moss, and Harrison will all have to get in before him. |

thats why i just compared him to alot of other guys, and yeah its a def no. there will be tons of guys with similar #'s. Until his final season with the Rams, I think Holt was always considered one of the top 5 WR. |

Holt should make it but he will have to wait in line. He was better than Bruce who is a fringe HOF candidate. He is 2nd all time in yards/game (Andre Johnson is #1) and top 10 in most categories even with a shorter career than just about everyone ahead of him. The only candidates of his era that are clearly better are Moss and probably Harrison. Holt will get hurt because he wasn't a self promoter like a bunch of the guys who are thought of ahead of him.

Hines Ward? |
