Why? Vick makes up for the flaws in Andy Reid's gameplan. Bill Belichick makes up for the flaws in Tom Brady's ability.
im not sure, but iirc, belicheck isnt even paying attention when the offense is on the field. he is playing with his D. and the way you word this, you make it sound like vick doesnt have any flaws which is obviously incorrect. unrelated question to the mvp races but would you rather have vick than brady?

brady has beaten the top 6 defenses and miami who is T-7. impressive imo.
I just don't know about some of those defenses.

Brady looked decent against the Jets but the Jets also let up Chad Henne throw for 363 yards and 2 TDs on them. Stafford put up 240 and 2 TDs on that defense, too. I'm not saying the Jets have a bad defense but I'm not sure how much we should read into Brady doing well against them.

The Dolphins are a good defense but Brady didn't really do anything against them. He had like 150 yards passing.

The Chargers have a good defense but Brady put up another 150 yard performance there.

I'll give you the Steelers (even though they went through a little defensive slump there in the middle of the season.)

And the Bears let up 300 yards to Ryan Fitzpatrick. What was more impressive about Brady's performance against the Bears, I guess, was the weather conditions there. You don't typically see the ball getting aired out like that in icy conditions.

Are those defenses good? Yeah. But I don't know how much I'd read into Brady playing well against them when it comes to MVP voting.

Well if the teams the Eagles opponents had faster defenses, they would have been able to stop Vick.

Or some other excuse.

Of course Vick has flaws but he can take a totally broken play and turn it into a gain -- and sometimes a really big gain. A lot of QBs can do that here and there. Vick does it consistently.

You can only play the defenses you're faced with. Vick has beaten every NFC East opponent where he played the entire game. The Giants have a pretty good defense. Vick totally dominated them in 7 and a half minutes yesterday.

top defenses are gonna be able to hold you in check somewhat. finding a way to win, and not losing the games is impressive to me. especially when having to play on the road in lots of those games.

totally broken plays dont worry me. they dont happen enough to make a huge difference and the best qb's just flick it into the seats and come back the next play.

does brady come back against the giants like vick just did? prolly not, but the stars aligned more than just vick having a great 8 minutes. definitely fun to see. and i doubt brady puts them in that position down so much against that giants team.

Sooooo, Vick is more valuable because Andy Reid is a shitty coach?

I see.

Brady makes the system just as much as the system makes Brady. That argument is silly.
Matt Cassell went 11-5 in that system in his first year starting.

Should be an interesting vote to say the least. I am on the fence over which one I'd vote for.

it never did to me. prolly changed for the eagles fans out there that can put their homer opinions aside. but id imagine that most of the country had the right guy before last night. that game was just the final nail.

Sorry...

You were just fodder for perhaps my favorite coach press conference of the season....
