The loser? Former NBAer Christian Laettner. I have nothing to cut and paste but apparently CL borrowed 3 million from Merriman years ago to go into some risky real estate deals. Didnt pan out and Laettner never paid Merriman back. So long story short, Merriman won in court and won an additional 800,000 in interest.

Cant find the story on ESPN but I saw it on TMZ.. Heh..
