Default HOF question
If youre a WR with about 350 career receptions, 50 or so TDs and about 6000 yards total career receiving yards should you be in the HOF? Throw in a few SB wins and a SB MVP.

Thoughts?

I imagine just about any guy is qualified to be in the Hof. At least once.

I start on level 10 and just go for Tetris. Starting on level 10 is the only way to do it and you save a lot of time.

Just saying, Lynn Swann is obviously the Derek Jeter of his day but I dont know if by todays standards if someone with those numbers gets in.

He's only got the one Super Bowl MVP.
1 Superbowl MVP, 2 Superbowl rings, and 21 catches for 176 yards and a TD in 2 Superbowl games. The guy is the Lynn Swann of the 2000s.

Lynn Swann played the majority of his career before the passing game really exploded in the late 70s and early 80s.

His induction is debatable but QBs were not throwing the ball nearly as much back then.

Does this standard translate into other positions?

Troy Aikman won SBs though and thats a big cog in the wheel of HOFers. His numbers were nothing great by any means but he had some rings.

Personally I think he should not be in.

Well for instance, A DE whos career spanned prodominantly in the 80s, racked up great numbers putting him top 5 for sacks all time, got a SB and an MVP to boot. Lets say he's not in, whats wrong with this picture?

No need to suggest facts.

I'm flat out saying they are.

I'll suggest that they'd be below average had he not played behind quite possibly the best OL of all time.
