What's bizarre is this faith you have in the Redskins and the Bears. The Redskins added McNabb and a coach that hasn't coached in a good while. The Bears added a DE and an O-Coordinator that has failed the past 5 places he's gone. Meanwhile the Eagles added a starting safety, starting DE, got our MLB back, etc.
One season is a long while?

In the NFL (Not For Long) it is (and just for posterity's sake, I said "good while"). Unless Shanahan works some voodoo magic with their offensive line, I don't see the Redskins winning more than 9 games. That's a BIG question mark.

Raiders beat the Steelers.

but the Raiders suck.......the Vikes and Steelers are good squads!!!

Steelers went 9-7 and they basically threw away 4-5 games.....they lost consecutively to the Raiders, Chiefs and Stains.....and a couple more games where they didn't put away a team when they had a lead late....

Crazy team last year....

So the Eagles added 2 new starters and returned one, but Trent Williams won't be a decent starter for the Redskins? And speaking of weak offensive lines. The Eagles have virtually no depth and are relying on two guys just activated from the PUP list and an overpaid tackle-turned-guard who doesn't seem to understand the blocking scheme.

The Eagles actually have 6 new starters compared to 2009 (Kolb, Graham, Sims, Bradley, Hobbs, and Allen). Trent Williams is a beast, and Jammal Brown could be good, but I'm not saying they're going to take the Redskins from 4-12 to 10-6...but that's just me.

Steelers were bad last year. They were basically gift-wrapped at least two of their wins by bogus officiating.

And the Raiders when they didn't have Russell costing them games and had a QB that was atleast average they started beating playoff contending or playoff teams...

Kolb and Hobbs likely aren't upgrades at their respective positions -- at least not immediately for Kolb. I have some hope for Kolb. As far as I'm concerned, Hobbs has no business starting in the NFL. He's a good 3rd/4th CB but I don't like him as a starter at all.

I'm not even sure Graham is starting and having a rookie starting at safety usually ends up in the defense letting up some big plays. Both are nice players, for sure, but I'd expect some growing pains.

Bradley coming back will be nice. Sims should be an improvement but I don't know how significant of an impact he makes on this team.

I'm not saying the Steelers are a bad team..I'm just saying the Raiders showed with a Average QB they are 10 times better on offense then with what Russell gave them, and that they are a better team to people think.

There's not alot of quality coaches available that get fired midseason.

I've already mentioned this in my QB thread but I think Campbell is extremely underrated.

Bingo!

I dont disagree with where the Eagles were in the ranking. Dont so much disagree with being up on Chicago at this point. Washington does perplex me though.

17 teams ahead of the Eagles? Really? The fact that you have the Bears and the Redskins top 15, but not the Eagles is the icing on the cake.
Eagles lose. Redskins and Bears win.

The Bears played the Lions. The Eagles played the Packers The Bears outgained the Lions by 250 yards, and still only won because of an incredibly stupid interpretation of a very stupid rule that cost the Lions the game.

Each team plays the game by the same rules. It was unfortunate. Eagles looked like shit until Michael Vick breathed some life into the offense.
